  Face Lift
The purpose of a facelift is to make the patients appear younger but not look unnatural for their age. The end result may be remarkable but there are a number of limitations and risks. It does little to recover fine lines which are often treated by another non-surgical method such as injectable fillers or laser.

Procedure: Improving sagging facial skin, jowls (sagging skin below cheeks), and loose neck skin by removing excess fat, tightening muscles and redraping the skin. The incisions usually hide in temporal hair baring areas and continue to the natural contour line around the ears. Small tubes that drain excess fluid may be placed for 1 or 2 days. Your head will be bandaged to minimize bruising and swelling.
  Length : 2 to 4 hours.
Anesthesia :  Local with sedation, or general.
In / outpatient : outpatient. Some patients may require a short inpatient stay.
Risks and possible complications : Temporary bruising, swelling, numbness and tenderness of skin, tight feeling, dry skin, injury to the nerves that control the facial muscles or feeling ( usually temporary), Infection, Blood collection, Skin necrosis, Scaring ( usually minimal), Asymmetry or changes in hairline.
Post- operative care : You should lie on your back with your head elevated and limit head movement for a couple of days. Continue to put the ice bag on your face frequently in the first 48 hours.
